Russell James Williams, 67, of Hillsboro died Aug. 31, 2024, at his son’s home. Mr. Williams worked in construction until the time of his retirement. Born Nov. 8, 1956, in Festus, he was the son of the late Delores MacDonnell and Preston E. Williams Sr.
He is survived by two sons: Eric Russell (Terry) Williams and Dustin James (Kari) Williams; four grandchildren: Aubree Williams, Alayna Williams, Jacob Meyer and Cameron Demeyer; a great-grandson: Malcolm Meyer; a brother: Preston E. (Carla Garber) Williams Jr.; two sisters: Debbie (Roger) Darden and Cathy (Thomas) Brown; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: William Preston and Alma Belcher Williams; and his maternal grandparents: Augustus J. and Emma Greenlee MacDonnell.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Blackwell Baptist Church, 10403 Cole Road, in Blackwell, 63626, officiated by Pastor Gary Eubanks. Memorials may be made to the church.
