Ruby Catherine (Armbruster) Moses, 97, of De Soto died June 21, 2024. Mrs. Moses enjoyed working in her beautiful tall garden, going trout fishing, crocheting and watching the hummingbirds. Born Feb. 9, 1927, in Valles Mines, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Bell (Ratty) Armbruster.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: James L. Moses, whom she married on Aug. 10, 1946, in Festus.
She is survived by a son: Gary (Diann) Moses of Bonne Terre; a daughter: Darlene Rush of De Soto; six grandchildren: Bobby (Mary) Moses, Cassie Moses, Samantha (Justin) Golden, Michaela (Andrew Stottler) Rush, Pam (Kirk) Latta and Thomas (Cheyenna) Hootselle; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two sons: James F. Moses and Melvin Moses; a son-in-law: Steven Mark Rush; three brothers: George Armbruster, John Armbruster and James Armbruster; and five sisters: Thelma Hedrick, Berniece Robbins, Alberta Almo, Gladys Puckette and Elba Armbruster.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until services at noon Saturday, June 29, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Gene Moses. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
