Ronald Lee Welzbacher, 73, of Barnhart died June 7, 2026, at his home. Mr. Welzbacher worked in restoration, installing, sanding and finishing hardwood flooring. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially with Diana, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. Born Aug. 2, 1952, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Ardell Gillam and Paul Welzbacher.
He was preceded in death by his partner of more than 30 years: Diana Haynes.
He is survived by a child: Jennifer Hicks of Plant City, Fla.; two grandchildren: Noah and Annabelle; five siblings: Paula (Dave) Hosto of Walshville, Ill., Randy (companion Missy) Welzbacher of Greenville, Ill., Cynthia (Barry) Johnson of Marine, Ill., Roger Welzbacher of Millersburg, Ill., and Ritchie (Holly) Welzbacher of Sorento, Ill.; a brother-in-law: James Tash of Tamms, Ill.; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a sibling: Sandra Tash; and nephews: Michael Paul, Chad and Devin.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Heritage Hall, 194 St. Hwy. V, in Davisville.
