Ronald Lee Gibson, 80, of De Soto died Nov. 15, 2023. Mr. Gibson worked as a dealer relationship manager for Chase Auto Finance. He was a member of the De Soto Amvets and Festus Conservation Club. He loved fishing, music, piano lessons, country line dancing, swing dancing and most importantly spending time with family and friends. Born March 21, 1943, in St. Louis, he was son of the late Kenneth Earl Gibson Sr. and Ethel Marie (O'Conner) Gibson.
He is survived by his wife: Kimberly Anne (Albano) Gibson of De Soto; two sons: Russell (Kristy) Gibson of De Soto and Thomas (Michelle) Gibson of St. Louis; a stepson: Jeremy (Jaden) Meyers of Festus; five daughters: Annie (Curt) Murray of St. Charles, Antoinette (Nathan) Wiesler of St. Louis, Lori (Matt) Sweazey of Oklahoma, Lisa (Jim) Gloriod of St. Louis and Gracie Gibson of De Soto; a brother: Jerry (Chris) Gibson of Springfield; a half-brother: Michael Gibson of De Soto; a sister: Tina Lawson of Florida; a half-sister: Debbie Howard of Nebraska; a step-sister: Shelia Hahn of De Soto; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth Gibson Jr.; a half-brother: Bobby Gibson; a stepbrother: William Ray; and a sister: Donna Smith.
Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. until a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
