Ronald E. Hogue, 67, of Festus died Feb. 25, 2026. Mr. Hogue worked as a creative director for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for 32 years. He will be remembered as a fun-loving guy who loved to laugh and make other people laugh. He loved spending time with his family, especially playing games and cards with his grandkids. He also enjoyed bird watching and spending time with his happy hour group. Born Dec. 2, 1958, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Audrey and Jacqueline (Schmidt) Hogue.
He is survived by his wife: Glenda Hogue; three children: Jennifer (Kevin) Messmann, Jessica Bartlett and Amber Ahrens; four grandchildren: Caden Messmann, Devin, Conner and Makenzie Bartlett; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sibling: Norma Davis.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Interment will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
