Clark, Roger

Roger Eugene Clark, 73, of Hillsboro died Oct. 9, 2024, in St. Louis. Mr. Clark worked as a bus mechanic for the Hillsboro School District. In his free time, he became an ordained Chaplain with the National Chaplains Association and enjoyed ministering at various nursing homes. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, visiting with his family and studying his Bible. He was a member of VFW Post 3777 in Festus and the National Chaplains Association. Born Nov. 27, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Virginia (Seeck) and Bert Clark.

He is survived by two sons: Robert (Christine) Kelly-Clark of De Soto and Steven (Kelly) Clark of Hillsboro; three daughters: Maria (Jim) Reeds of Troy, Barbara (Tony) Bader of West Point, Miss., and April (Mike) Wade of Moscow Mills; two brothers: Paul Clark of Owensville and Mark Clark of St. James; three sisters: Ruth Datillo of Park Hills, Betty Baldus of Arnold and Patricia (Ross) Bollinger of Owensville; 14 grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson: "Teddy" Kelly-Clark; two sisters: Joann Warner and Delia (Mike) Brodbeck; and brother-in-law: Larry Datillo.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Rich Grayson. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
