Robert Roland Beran, 91, of De Soto died Feb. 12, 2024, at his home. Mr. Beran was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Teamster. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Festus. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Kcee. He enjoyed traveling and doing yard work. Born Dec. 26, 1932, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Ellsie (Mattas) and Rolla Beran.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Anita June (Smoot) Beran.
He is survived by two children: Deborah Lynn (Mark) Boyer of De Soto and Robert “Bob” Anthony Beran of Festus; three grandchildren: Ryan Boyer, Bradley (Tia) Beran and Brandon (Emily) Beran; and a great-granddaughter: Lola June Beran.
He also was preceded in death by two siblings: Ellsie Mae Beran and Raymond Beran.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Jason Walters. Burial with full military honors will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
