Robert Lee Lewis, 86, of Blackwell died March 7, 2024, in Mineral Point. Mr. Lewis was a mechanic and retired from Jim Butler Chevrolet. He was a member of Machinist District 9, Knights of Columbus, Amvets, V.F.W. and the Elks. He also served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. Born Jan. 5, 1938, in Cadet, he was the son of the late Leo Joseph and Freda (Politte) Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy (Coleman) Brown Lewis.
He is survived by five children: Christopher (Terri) Lewis of Independence, Tim Lewis of Pacific, Roberta Ribble of Mineral Point, Lisa Ramey of Pacific and Jeff Lewis of Waco, Texas; four siblings: Helen (Harry) Allen of Desloge, Vicky (Dale) Jarvis of Mineral Point, Frank (Linda) Lewis of Festus and Tom (Linda) Lewis of Cadet; a sister-in-law: Sheila (Earl) Missey of Hillsboro; a brother-in-law: Ralph (Mary) Nichols of Newton, Miss.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special friend: Margaret Courtway.
He also was preceded in death by two stepchildren: Kevin Brown and Stacie Lee Massman; two brothers: Leonard Lewis and Ray (Jan) Lewis; and two sisters: Mary Lou Nichols and Darlene (John) Seibel.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, at the funeral home, officiated by Helen Allen. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
