Robert Dale Haley, 85, of Arnold died Jan. 21, 2026, at de Greeff Hospice House at Mercy South in St. Louis. Mr. Haley retired from Meat Cutters Local 88. He was a Lutheran and enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, bowling, flying remote-controlled airplanes and traveling with his family. Born July 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Marcella (Heiden) Haley and Paul Walker Haley.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Janet (Weber) Haley of Arnold; two children: Cheryl Lee (Haley) Litzsinger and Robert David (Stephanie) Haley; two grandchildren: Tesla Kay (Louis) Turner and MacKenzie Lee Litzsinger; a brother: Richard B. Haley; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Michael P. Haley; a brother: Paul R. Haley; a granddaughter: Kristen Ashley Baum; and a great-granddaughter: Evalynn Kay Lynch.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2211 Tenbrook Road, in Arnold. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Arnold. Memorials may be made to de Greeff Hospice House at Mercy South in St. Louis.
