Robert “Bob” King, 94, of High Ridge died Nov. 7, 2024. Mr. King served in the military for four years, first in the U.S. Navy and later in the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of technical sergeant. He was a self-taught woodworker; many of his countless pieces remain as family keepsakes. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also was known to tinker around the house and in his garage. He is remembered for his respect, justice, discipline and patriotism. Born March 28, 1930, he was the son of the late Bessie (Woods) and Osborn King.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Charlotte (Graham) King.
He is survived by four children: Theresa (Andrew) Lustwerk, Donna Venti, Russell (Gina) King and Patty (Dean) Consolino; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Rosalie (Tommy) Crocker and Ruthann (Bill) Harbison.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters: Lucy King and Sandra (Dickie) Jackson.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Meadows Cemetery in Annapolis. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
