Anderson, Robert

Robert A. “Bob” Anderson, 89, of St. Clair died Aug. 11, 2024, at his home. Mr. Anderson was known as an honest, old-fashioned and hardworking man who served his country, married his sweetheart and thoroughly enjoyed his 34 years of retirement. He served as worshipful master at Herculaneum Lodge 338 during his 41 years as a master mason. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as growing prize-winning peaches and tomatoes. He also enjoyed playing Pinochle with his cousins. Born Nov. 3, 1934, he was the son of the late Archie and Mildred (Cox) Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Sue (Frazier) Anderson.

He is survived by two children: Debbie (Chuck) and Kevin (Jen); three grandchildren: Elaine (Ian), Meg and Casey; a sibling: Shirley (Wally); and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Rock Hill Cemetery in St. Clair. Arrangements are under the direction of Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair.
