Richard Arthur Dean, 49, of Festus died Jan. 4, 2024. Mr. Dean, also known as “Bam,” worked as a truck driver/ freight relocating engineer for JB Hunt. He was a member of the Southern Discomfort Motorcycle Club, a lifetime member of Sons of Amvets Post 48 and De Soto Elks Lodge. He loved riding motorcycles, blowing stuff up and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. Born March 15, 1974, in Libertyville, Ill., he was the son of Harlin (Brinda) Dean Jr. of Pontiac, Ill. and the late Frances (White) Dean.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a son: Richard Aaron (Shayna Miller) Dean of De Soto; a daughter: Lydia (Mason Wood) Dean of Crystal City; mother of his children: Tonya Seyfarth of Bonne Terre; fiancee: Cindy Lange; Cindy’s two daughters: Skylar Lange and Sophia Lange of Festus; a sister-in-law: Lizzie (the late Mike) Cuttill of Chicago, Ill.; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Mike Cuttill.
Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Aaron Dean at 405 N. Washington St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
