Yglesia, Rex

Rex Manuel Yglesia, 69, of Festus died March 31, 2025, at his home. Mr. Yglesia served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Elks Lodge 1721 and Twin Cities Amvets 171. He was a family man who took great care of his wife, an avid fisherman, music lover and connoisseur of classic movies. Born Dec. 1, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Anna Mae (Cage) and Manuel Cecil Yglesia.

He is survived by his wife: Tamra (Jones) Yglesia; four children: Jordan Yglesia of Arnold, Ashley Yglesia of St. Louis, Jared Yglesia of Festus and Lukus Yglesia of Festus; three siblings: Jay Daniel Yglesia of Seattle, Wash., Melonee Yglesia Bieser of Festus and Stacy Yglesia of Oakland, Calif.; a nephew: Jeremy Bieser of Houston, Texas; and two nieces: Paloma Yglesia of San Jose, Calif., and Celeste Yglesia of Seattle, Wash.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. today, April 6, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Father Steve Lian. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
