Raymond Edward Rogers, 94, of Saint Peters died Oct. 27, 2023. Mr. Rogers served in the U.S. Army and Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, where he worked as a carpenter before he retired. Born Oct. 15, 1929, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Bertha Ann (Johnston) and Herbert James Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years: Mary Lee (Schulte) Rogers
He is survived by his two daughters: Catherine (Patrick) McGovern of Chesterfield and Patricia (Mark) Taylor of St. Peters; a brother: Homer "Jired" Rogers; a granddaughter: Alyssa Taylor of Saint Peters; a grandson: Brendan Taylor of Saint Peters; as well as many other family members and friends.
Service date and time are still pending. Burial with full military honors will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to The Adopt an Angel program at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. 3rd St. De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
