R. “JoAnn” Crow, 74, of Cedar Hill died June 1, 2024, in Fenton. Ms. Crow had a love for the great outdoors and was happiest when spending countless hours exploring nature. She will be remembered for being humble and down-to-earth. Born Oct.15, 1949, in Fisk, she was the daughter of the late Bonnie Jean (Miller) and Raymond Crow Sr.
She is survived by three siblings: Lana (Leonard) Becker, Mark (Debbie) Crow and Raymond (Trisha) Crow Jr.; eight nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and-nephews; longtime friends: Vera Ward and Sandra Johnson; and many other family members and friends.
Ms. Crow’s sister, Donna Laird, died two days later on June 3.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Sammy and Michael.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, June 7, at First Baptist Church, 8265 Local Hillsboro Road, in Cedar Hill. Burial will follow in Local Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse or to Open Door Animal Sanctuary. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
