Philip John “Flip” Krah, 67, of Hillsboro died Dec. 12, 2023, at his home. Mr. Krah graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and that led him to a career in industrial chemical sales. He enjoyed meeting new people and never knew a stranger. He enjoyed making homemade pickles, a family tradition, every summer to be shared with family and friends. His favorite place to spend time was walking in the stream and trout fishing at Montauk State Park. He passed his love of fishing onto his children. Born Aug. 29, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Jane Therese (Bilodeau) and John William Krah.
He is survived by his wife: Cheryl (Freiner) Krah; three children: Natalie (Ryan) Beile of Eureka, Alicia (Jesse) Francis of St. Louis and Jonathan (Michelle) Krah of High Ridge; four siblings: Wendy (Tim) Fetter of Florissant, Lise (Kevin) Broccard of St. Louis, Mitch (Rebecca) Krah of Savannah, Ga. and Jennifer (Bryan) Dickerson of Sanford, Fla.; and six grandchildren: Braden, Hadley, Daphne, Landon, Oliver and Myles.
Visitation is scheduled from 3 pm until a funeral service at 5 pm Thursday, Dec. 21, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
