Peggy Jo Dell, 81, Imperial

Peggy Jo Dell, 81, of Imperial died Jan. 2, 2024, in Imperial. Mrs. Dell was a secretary with BJC Healthcare and was a member of Faith Church in Sunset Hills. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, going to garage sales, volunteering at the food pantry and spending time with family and friends. Born Oct. 7, 1942, in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Hazel (Willis) Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Jerry W. Dell.

She is survived by a child: Belinda (Rusty) Godfrey of Imperial; four siblings: Donald (Sandy) Jones, Jimmy (Kathleen) Jones, Deanna Dell and Patty Jones; four grandchildren: Amy (James) Richard, Jeremiah (Nicky) Hardy, Matthew (Ashley) Hardy and Hannah (Richard) Noel; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by five siblings: Prunella Bland, Jack Jones, Mary Coleman, Kay Douthitt and RuthAnn Brawley.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until a funeral service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A private burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 8770 Manchester Road, St. Louis, 63144. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
