Paula Marie (Blechle) Edgar, 99, of De Soto died Sept. 14, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Edgar worked in the garment factory in Festus and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Crystal City. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, bowling, fishing, raising chickens and tending to her garden. She was born May 17, 1925, in Bonne Terre.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Otho Glenwood Edgar.
She is survived by four grandchildren: Shawn (Sherrlyn) Edgar of De Soto, Robert Edgar of Barnhart, Tammy and Lynette; two great-grandchildren: Emily Edgar and Eli Edgar; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Gary Edgar Sr.; a stepson: Jack Edgar; and a grandson: Gary Edgar Jr.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Monday, Sept. 23, at Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
