Paul Leroy Freeman, 86, of Hillsboro died Oct. 23, 2025, at his home. Mr. Freeman loved to play golf and spend time with his family, especially when taking trips to Branson. He was known for his love, faith and for the traditions he shared with family and friends. He will be remembered for his warm spirit and for the joy he brought to others. Born July 13, 1939, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Donald and Deloris Freeman.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Shirley Freeman; three daughters: Debra Voyles, Sheila (Larry) Gardiner and Wendy (Dave) Byrd; seven grandchildren: Brandy (Kenny) Noel, Jarred Voyles, Brandon Whittley, Daniel (Chelsea) Whittley, Cheyenne (Brady) Byrd, Chayton Byrd and Bella Byrd; eight great-grandchildren: Morgan Noel, Brendan Noel, Titan Whittley, Ashton Whittley, Mason Whittley, McKenna Whittley, Austin Voyles and Eli Voyles; and a brother: James Michael Freeman.
A memorial visitation was held Oct. 27, 2025, at Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert Brown Chapel in Hillsboro. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert Brown Chapel.
