Patricia Mae Mitsdarffer, 70, of Festus died April 13, 2024, after a brief illness. Besides being the family matriarch, Ms. Mitsdarffer worked as a nurse and hospice nurse. She never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed entertaining and traveling with her life partner, Pete. She will be remembered for her infectious grin and laughter. Born Sept. 28, 1953, in East St. Louis, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Patricia (Davis) and John Stinekraus.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Peter Stadelmann.
She is survived by two children: Dawn (Corey) Whitehead of Blackwell and James (Annette) Menees of Fenton; three sisters: Cheryl (Terry) Sago of Las Vegas, Nev., Debbie (Jim) Michaels of Arizona and Joanna (the late Randy) Halbrook of Bloomsdale; three grandchildren: Rashaun Hyde, Kyle Whitehead and Ava Whitehead; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Melanie Mitsdarffer.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
