Patricia L. “Pat” (Tessereau) Wright, 91, of St. Louis County died Sept. 22, 2026, at Sherbrooke Village in St. Louis County. Mrs. Wright had a long career in the grocery business at Mueller’s IGA and Mac’s IGA in Crystal City, and with Venture, National and Schnuck’s stores in the greater St. Louis area. Several of those years were spent as a store bakery manager and then as a regional manager. She remained active in retirement, serving as a volunteer usher for the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis. She participated with the Silver Sneakers group and enjoyed walking tours with the St. Louis “Ten Toes” organization. She also practiced yoga well into her 80s. She loved attending her grandchildren's concerts, performances, ball games and school events. Most of all, she loved spending time with them; playing games, cooking their favorite “Grandma Pat” recipes and going on adventures around the city. Born Nov. 12, 1934, in Flat River, she was the daughter of the late Dolores (Greer) and Joseph L. Windle.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Bob Tessereau and Bill Wright.
She is survived by four children: Connie Mitchell of San Diego, Calif., Tom Tessereau of St. Louis County, Phil Tessereau of St. Louis County and Linda Mosby of Sacramento, Calif.; 13 grandchildren: Nick (Lisa) Mitchell, Ryan Robertson, Sean (Azeza) Tessereau, Jacob Tessereau, Andrea (Sean) Wilkey, Alex Mosby, Daniel Mosby, Adom Tessereau, Christopher Tessereau, Deva Tessereau, Lucas Tessereau, Xavier Tessereau and Samson Tessereau; and seven great-grandchildren: Melody, Kylie, Sydney, Max, Fallon, Stella and Summer.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Hathaway and Helen Jennings; and a grandson: Kyle Mitchell.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Jan Mourning of First Unity Church of St. Louis. Interment will follow in St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Stray Rescue. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
