Yotter, Patricia

Patricia (Kinder) Yotter, 81, of Cedar Hill died Oct. 31, 2025, in Town and Country. Over the years, Ms. Yotter taught students at Pattonville Elementary and later at High Ridge Elementary, where she eventually retired. She earned a teacher’s degree from Arkansas State University and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. Outside the classroom, she enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping with friends and family. Known for her strength and resilience, she survived open-heart surgery at a young age and was a cancer survivor. Born Nov. 30, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Eleanor (Turner) Kinder.

She was preceded in death by her life partner: Cindy Walter.

She is survived by a brother: Keith (Sue) Kinder; two children: Dawn Walter and Eric Walter; eight grandchildren: Joe Mueller, Patrick Mueller, Brandon Kiefer, Travis Kiefer, David Kiefer, Lance, Kole and Ella; a great-grandchild; and numerous other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Polly Jo (the late Mark) Kiefer; and a sister: Phyllis Kinder-White.

A memorial visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial will immediately follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
