Patricia Christine "Chrissy" Fore, 65, of Cadet died July 27, 2026. Mrs. Fore loved taking morning rides with her dogs, walking the property, tending to her garden and caring for the countless plants that filled her home. She enjoyed sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee while listening to classical music. She loved attending festivals with her children and grandchildren, creating many memories. Known for her loving and compassionate heart, she was willing to help others in need. She was fiercely independent, delightfully stubborn and passionately believed that women could accomplish whatever they set their minds to. She stood beside her daughter through every surgery and challenge, offering love, strength and encouragement. She will be remembered for her feisty spirit, deep compassion and enthusiasm for life. Born March 12, 1961, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Alice (Abner) Heiney.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years: Robert “Bobby” Fore, whom she married on Aug. 18, 2001, in De Soto; a daughter: Veronica Berry; her bonus daughter: Heather Petty; three grandchildren: Haylee Johnson, Christopher Valentine and Taegan Valentine; a brother: Mark Heiney; her dogs: Precious and Tigger; her grand dog: Emma; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Greg Heiney and James Heiney Jr.; a sister: Shirley Meador; and the father of her children: Ron Krettler.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E. High St., in Potosi, officiated by Pastor Glenn Warren. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Pevely. Arrangements are under the direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
