Nancy Arlene Nash, 69, of Imperial died Feb. 28, 2025. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Mrs. Nash spent her career in the service industry, first as a waitress and later as a bartendress and restaurant manager. After years of managing multiple establishments, she became a baker at The Blue Owl and took up cooking for the senior center and Arnold Rec Center. Before retiring she also worked in childcare for several years. She enjoyed fishing, playing slot machines and spending time with her family and friends. She is remembered for her take-charge attitude and natural ability to comfort others. Born Nov. 5, 1955, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Arlene (Woodrome) and Bob Lincoln.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Robert Nash.
She is survived by three children: Jennifer Nash (Jim) O’Neill, Robert (Katie Snyder) Nash and Steven (Jessica Palmer) Nash; seven grandchildren: Madelyn O’Neill (David) Emmons, Jaime O’Neill, Gillian O’Neill (Matthew) Florek, Alyssa O’Neill, Owen Nash, Nova Nash and Coda Nash; and two great grandchildren: Jaxon Emmons and Brooklyn Emmons.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Short; and a sister: Kelly Lincoln.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Lodge at Grant's Trail, 4398 Hoffmeister Ave., in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
