Mitchell Eugene Denby, 70, of De Soto died April 15, 2024, at his home. Mr. Denby served in the U.S. Navy and was a 30-year member of the United Auto Workers Union working at Chrysler Corp. in the minivan plant. He attended Mehlville Schools. Born June 9, 1953, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Vivian (Walter) and William Denby.
He is survived by three sons: Christian Denby of St. Louis, Jason (Mandy) Denby of Farmington and Joshua Denby of Farmington; two daughters: Kelly Ankarlo of Bellvue, Ill., and Carmella Denby of Belllvue, Ill.; eight siblings: Russell (Eunice) Denby, Cheri Gamlin, Ida Staley, Marie Denby, Viola (Richard) Albert, Louise (John) Prokowski, Patricia (Brett Dahmer) Denby and Orville Denby; and 12 grandchildren: Reighna, Anthony, Craig, Keith, Logan, Cole, Haley, Taylor, Grant, Gavyn, Chloey and Bryar.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, in Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Hwy. BB, in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to any veteran’s charity. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral in Hillsboro.
