Michael Womack, 55, of Festus died Sept. 4, 2025. For 35 years, Mr. Womack worked as a skilled bricklayer, taking pride in his craft. He later continued his career as a maintenance technician at RHI, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. His greatest joy was family, and he showed it through countless acts of care and sacrifice. He enjoyed gathering family and friends around the table for his famous barbecue and seafood meals. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, love for family, pride in his work and for bringing joy to those around him. Born March 13, 1970, he was the son of Barbara (Tate) Womack and the late Ronald Womack.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Shawna (McDonald) Womack; eight children: Christina (Johnny) Roberts, Brittany (Kevin) Capps, Vance Michael Womack, Domonick Womack, Corey (Bridget) Womack, Ciara McDonald, Nathaniel Womack and Keegan Womack; a sister: Michelle (Gary) Light; and 10 grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until a service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Basler Funeral Home, 685 Center Drive, in Ste. Genevieve. Memorials may be made to the Womack Family. Arrangements are under the direction of Basler Funeral Home.
