Michael W. Hillsman, 51, of Imperial died July 26, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Hillsman worked as a retail manager. His favorite song lyrics were “Say Goodbye, Don’t Follow.” Born Aug. 29, 1973, in Springfield, he was the son of Clarence D. Hillsman and the late Jerry (Strickland) Hillsman. He was the stepson of the late Penelope “Penny” Hillsman.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife: Pamela “Pam” Hillsman of Imperial; four children: Elizabeth, Brendan, Olivia and Lucas Hillsman of Imperial; four siblings: David Hillsman of Savannah, Terri (Frank) Chapman of Lohman, Sean (Jennifer) Hillsman of New Richland, Minn., and Morgan (Josh) Christ of Chino Hills, Calif.; his mother-in-law: Christine Goersch; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sibling: Shelly Hillsman; and his father-in-law: Gary Goersch.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Kids Rock Cancer. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
