Michael W. Ford, 76, of Festus died May 29, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Ford served in the U.S. Army and owned and operated M&F Trucking in Festus. He retired as an instructor from Nu-Way Truck Driver Training in St. Louis. He was a member of the American Legion and Selma American Baptist Church. Born Dec. 31, 1949, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Dorothy J. (Kircher) Baur and Joseph J. Ford. 

He is survived by his wife: Frances L. (Davis) Ford; two sons: Michael F. (Rachel) Ford of Dupo, Ill., and Douglas J. (Lisa) Ford of St. Louis County; a stepson: James K. (Tisha) Martin of Festus; a stepdaughter: Cynthia L. (Michael A.) Skaggs of Grove, Okla.; five grandchildren: Douglas M. Ford, Benjamin Ford, Michael H. (Crystil) Skaggs, Rylie Martin and Gavin Martin; and a great-grandson: Rylend Beck Skaggs.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Christina Ford; a sister: Dorothy "Dottie" (the late Zelmer "Zeke") Austin; a brother: Joseph Ford; and a granddaughter: Rebecca L. Kester.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Selma American Baptist Church, 1251 Dooling Hollow Road, in Festus, 63028, officiated by Pastor Leslie Limbaugh. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Selma American Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
