Michael Joseph "Mike" Pisciotta, 77, of Arnold died March 22, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. In 1968, Mr. Pisciotta was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served in the 11th Armored Calvary in Vietnam until 1969. He earned several honors including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. Returning from Vietnam, he worked for Ferd Lang Funeral Home and then the Missouri Department of Transportation. He later worked with Defense Mapping “NGA” and eventually retired. His love of driving made him come out of retirement to drive for Central States Bus Co. and then St. Anthony as a courier. He was a Roman Catholic and a former member of St. David's Catholic Church and Pope John XXIII Knights of Columbus Council 6018. He also was a life member of the Arnold VFW Post 2593. He was proud to be an amateur radio operator with his General Class License. Born Jan.6, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Dorothy "Dot" (Noonan) Pisciotta and Francis D. Pisciotta.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Constance "Connie" (Ruxlow) Pisciotta of Arnold; a daughter: Becky (Charles) Huey of Arnold; two grandsons: Zachary and David Huey of Arnold; four sisters: Kathy Fonod of Wildwood, Terri (Norman) Hindrichs of Foristell, Dorothy Pisciotta of Arnold and Kimberly “Kim” (Charlie) Edwards of Troy; two brothers: two brothers: Francis “Frank” (Debbie) Pisciotta of Wright City and Robert Pisciotta of Oakland, Calif.; a pet: Jake; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Scott Pisciotta; a brother: Thomas Pisciotta; and his Army buddy and brother-in-law: Steve Fonod.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County with a VFW service at 6 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus prayer service at 7 p.m. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the funeral home, officiated by Father Gerald Blessing. Burial with full military honors will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
