Michael D. Parker, 62, of House Springs died Aug. 6, 2025, at his home. Mr. Parker retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation, where he was a senior crew worker. He had also worked for SM&P as a utility locator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill. Born July 27, 1963, in St. Louis, he was the son of James Dennis Parker of De Soto and the late Imogene (Land) Parker.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Karen (Orrick) Parker.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife: Sheila (Callow) Parker of House Springs; a son: Kaleb (Barb) Parker of O’Fallon; three stepchildren: Jake (Kayla) Barton of Sullivan, Deanna (Patrick) Schneider of House Springs and Christopher (Kaitlin) Barton of Sullivan; a sibling: Kelly (Lester) Gale of De Soto; and eight grandchildren: Mateo, Lexi, Kaiden, Briar, Nathaniel, Tara, Rebecca and James.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Roger Tilmon of First Baptist Church in Cedar Hill. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
