Melissa Ann Chasteen, 55, of Arnold died July 3, 2026. Mrs. Chasteen enjoyed watching the Cardinals and NASCAR. She loved being a mother and devoting her life to her daughters with band, choir and sports. Born Feb. 18, 1971, in Troy, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Sandra Jean Yates-Agles and stepdaughter of the late Richard (Dick) Agles.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years: Steven Chasteen; four daughters: Stephanie, Melanie, Aubrey and Madison; her nieces and nephews who called her “Aunt Boo”: Shayla (Matt) Jackson, Anthony (Austin) Timme, Dillon (Alexandra) Timme, Lauren (Peter) Simpson, Taylor (Billy) Ludwig, Macy Bann and Shannon (James) Chasteen; two siblings: Scott (Doreen) Bann and Sonya (Eddy) Johnson; her mother-in-law: Kathleen Keith Feltman; a grand cat: Kenzie; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Keith Feltman.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to "Lunch Money" at the Fox School District or to Brenden's Friday Backpacks. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold.
