Mearl Henson, 84, of De Soto died Jan. 30, 2026, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Henson will be remembered as a hardworking man who took pride in what he did. He retired from Anheuser-Busch after more than 25 years of employment as a machinist. He was a life member of Elks Lodge 689 in De Soto. He enjoyed hot rods and working on cars and was a certified marksman through Browning. He also loved spending time with his dogs. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of going toe-to-toe in a good argument. Born April 28, 1941, in Ellington, he was the son of the late James and Alta (Fears) Henson.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn (Wromble) Henson; three children: Patricia (Donald) Todaro of Desloge, Tracy (Trish) Henson of Farmington and Marci Loraine of Bonne Terre; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Jim (the late Flora) Henson, Floyd Henson and Earl Henson; and three stepchildren: Shelley Wromble, Lori Wromble and Julie Wromble.
Per Mr. Henson’s request, no formal services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory in Farmington.
