MaryAnn Stalter, 76, Barnhart

MaryAnn Stalter, 76, of Barnhart died Jan. 3, 2024, at her home. Born Sept. 23, 1947, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mary Catherine (Hulser) and Msgr. Daniel Calvin Stalter.

She is survived by a daughter: Elizabeth “Beth” (Kevin) McCarthy of Barnhart; four siblings: Dan Stalter of Kentucky, Bill (Nancy) Stalter of Kentucky, Jim (Irene) Stalter of Texas and Susie (the late Deacon Floyd) Ashley of Texas; six grandchildren: Cyndi (Joey) Burkard, Ryan (Mary) McCarthy, Brittany McCarthy, Angela McCarthy, Faith (Jacob) Miner and Grace McCarthy; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Alice Marie Stalter and Faye Schnettler.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Imperial. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
