Mary Lou C. Keckley, 90, of Bonne Terre died March 7, 2026, at her home. Born Dec. 29, 1935, in St. Louis, Mrs. Keckley was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Oster) Meppiel.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Carl H. "Pete" Keckley, whom she married on March 3, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nev.
She is survived by a son: Ronald (Cindy) Keckley of Herculaneum; a daughter: Karin Keckley; three grandchildren: David P. (Christen) Keckley of Wilmington, N.C., Nolan (Desirae) Keckley of Farmington and Cody (Christey) Westover of Wilmington, N.C.; six great-grandchildren; a sister: Shirley Pyatt of Bonne Terre; and her caretaker: Steve "Rabbitt" Harris.
She also was preceded in death by a son: David E. Keckley; a daughter: Carla J. Keckley; a brother: Joseph Meppiel; and a sister: Marg Benson.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Interment will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
