Marvin Henry, 84, of Festus died May 4, 2025. Mr. Henry was raised in his teenage years by Mr. Cobb with the help of his uncle, Withal Henry, and aunt, Verna Henry. He graduated from Rankin Technical School in St. Louis and was a tool and die maker. He worked for 40 years at first Westhoff Tool and Die and later Davis Tool and Die. He was a deacon for several years at First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City. After retirement, he made kitchen cabinets part-time and enjoyed golfing. Born April 21, 1941, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Cecil and Mary Gertrude Henry.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Shelby Jean Henry.
He is survived by a daughter: Dana (Brent) Stafford of Claremore, Okla.; a brother: William David (Nancy) Henry; two grandchildren: Kyle (Gentry) Stafford and Travis (Makayla) Stafford; and two great-grandchildren: Dex Stafford and Knox Stafford.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Cecil Henry Jr.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until funeral services at noon Saturday, May 10, at First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City, 107 N. Truman Blvd., in Crystal City, 63019, officiated by Pastor Carey Jones. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made for First Baptist Church “Possesses the Land Campaign.” Arrangements are under the direction of Vineyard Funeral Home in Festus.
