Martha Kay Dolph, 93, of Festus died Nov. 16, 2025. Ms. Dolph began her 35-year teaching career in a one-room school near Skidmore. She later went on to teach special education at De Soto and Crystal City schools before ending her career at Jefferson College. Born Dec. 10, 1931, in Skidmore, she was the daughter of the late Francis David Medsker and Pauline Ruth (Money) Massengale.
She is survived by two children: Peggy (Mike) Almond and David (Becky) Dolph; five grandchildren: James Almond, A.J. (Chloe) Dolph, Rob (Elyse) Bingham, Scott (Laura) Bingham and Chad Bingham; seven great-grandchildren: Lillith, Zac, Bella, Haley, Gavin, Dalton and Ryder; a sibling: Eleanor Gray; a sister-in-law: Terry Massengale; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Donald Dolph; and a brother: Bill Massengale.
Funeral services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
