Marsha L. Greenstreet, 78, of Hillsboro died Nov. 18, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Greenstreet and her husband moved many times during their early years of marriage, establishing roots in the De Soto and Hillsboro areas. She worked for Commerce Bank of Festus for several years, becoming the first female vice president before forming her first business, Greenstreet Insurance Agency, which her daughter continues to operate. She obtained many awards and accolades, including the Saint Louis Women of Achievement Award. She enjoyed caring for her family and customers and being part of the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church community, where she would sing frequently at the services. She, along with her daughter-in-law, became a representative for Juice Plus, wanting to improve the health of others. She was the founding president of the Twin City Optimist Club and a charter member of the Hillsboro Lions Club. She will be remembered for her generosity, strength and compassion, for putting others first and for being the last to fill her dinner plate. Born Sept. 7, 1947, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Dema Vice.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Greenstreet of Hillsboro, whom she married on April 4, 1965, in Kirksville; two children: Jeff (Audrey) Greenstreet of Simpsonville, S.C., and Dana (Galen) Robinson of Dittmer; five grandchildren: Samantha (Kyle), Nicole, Shelby (Drew), Jessica and Tyler; two great-grandchildren: Alexandria and Marcy; two siblings: Debbie (John) Parrish of Palmyra and Craig (Cheryl) Vice of Indianola, Iowa; and many other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be private. A celebration of life is scheduled from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Hillsboro Knights of Columbus Hall, 9330 Hwy. 21, in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 1004 Rock Road, De Soto, 63020, Hillsboro Lions Club, P.O.
