Duchow, Mark

Mark Twain Duchow, 79, of Imperial died Aug. 24, 2025. Mr. Duchow was a member of the Soaring Spirit Prison Ministry, Feed My People and was a leader in his church, where he was known for his beautiful singing voice. Born Nov. 25, 1945, in Tonasket, Wash., he was the son of the late Marcus and Dorothea (Klotsch) Duchow.

He is survived by his wife: Jane Duchow; two children: Dawn (Vincent) Port and Michelle Pettit; 10 grandchildren: Clayton (Melanie) Port, Joel (Haley) Port, Faith Port, Grace Port, Hannah Port, John Port, Elizabeth Port, Rachel Port, Pearl Pettit and Rose Pettit; three great-grandchildren: James, Benjamin and Leah Port; two siblings: Joyce Gierke and James Duchow; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by four siblings: Floyd Duchow, Rose Wendt, June Ring and George Duchow.

A visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Visitation will resume from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Bethesda Evangelical Church, 85 Lemay Gardens Drive, in Lemay. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or to Feed My People. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
