Marjorie Sue Henderson, 74, of Festus died April 23, 2026, at Scenic Nursing and Rehab Center in Herculaneum. Ms. Henderson was a member of the former Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Festus and a current member of Buren Chapel A.M.E. in Herculaneum. Born Aug. 5, 1951, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Juanita (LaMarque) and Cleveland “Cleophus” Henderson.
She is survived by two sons: Darrell Henderson of Festus and Aaron Henderson of Festus; a daughter: Shawna Henderson of Festus; three sisters: Audrey Marie Telfair of Farmington, Norma Kay (Dwayne) Bisch of De Soto and Rita Elaine Henderson of Festus; five brothers: George Arthur (Laurine) Henderson of Fort Washington, Md., Tommy Ray (Denise) Henderson of De Soto, Alfred Leon (Rachel) Henderson of Festus, Gary Dean Henderson of Festus and Timothy Scott (Gail) Henderson of Ringgold, Ga.; seven grandchildren: Martquis Henderson, Andres Tullock, Kyra Skaggs, Amari Fisher, Ariana Tullock, Anastasia Hayes and Xandier Henderson; and seven great-grandchildren: Kenzi Kerr, Mika Skaggs, Luca Politte, Zacery Skaggs, Harper Rawson, Nala Fisher and Ruby Marie Schermesser.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Ella Mae Livingston; three brothers: Marvin Bruce Henderson, Floyd Henderson and Tony Henderson; and a grandson: Antonio Tullock.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Friday, May 8, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Dale Henderson. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
