
Marion Harley Gardner, 90, of Herculaneum died Sept. 28, 2025, at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis. Mr. Gardner was a dairy worker. He also was a Catholic. Born March 28, 1935, in Bismarck, he was the son of the late Bessie M. (Swafford) and Marion F. Gardner.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Beverly A. (Franz) Gardner.
He is survived by three children: Michael (Pati) Gardner, Richard (Deborah) Gardner and Steven (Linda) Gardner; seven grandchildren: Matthew, Mark, Brooke, Jason (Laura) and Steven Jr. (Megan) Gardner, Jennifer (Jacob) Rankin and Kristin Gardner; 16 great-grandchildren: Allison, Elliot, Leighannah, Reni, Bella, Sammy, Kyler, Caylee, Savannah, Jonah, August, Charlotte, Karlee, Ben, Tracy and Kayleigh; two great-great-grandchildren: Kristopher and Peyton; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, in St. Louis. Services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church, 3949 Wilmington Ave., in St. Louis, officiated by Father Aaron Nord. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Affton Chapel.
