Marilyn Cecilia Redfield, 85, of De Soto died Sept. 25, 2026. Mrs. Redfield was the owner and operator of Redfield Flea Market, where she dedicated many years to her work and enjoyed meeting and visiting with others. She loved doing puzzles, playing cards and other games and working in her yard. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends, creating many memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her laughter, kindness and love. Born April 15, 1941, in Blackwell, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Charles Boyer and Fannie Stella (Durbin) Boyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Gordon Henry Redfield Jr.
She is survived by four sons: Gary G. Redfield of Crystal City, Greg K. (Coby) Redfield of Festus, Danny (Connie) Hassell of De Soto and Nicholas (Stacie) Hassell of Kirkwood; three daughters: Gale M. (George) Russell of Gordon, Wis., Gina A. Bright of Arnold and Cherie Doyen of Columbia; a brother: Mark (Debbie) Boyer of Herculaneum; a sister: Judy Childress of Sullivan; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Don Bright; two brothers: Lee Boyer and Murrell Boyer; a brother-in-law: Dale Childress; and a granddaughter: Alissa Blanton.
