Margaret Ann Mordhorst, 87, of Richwoods died Aug. 3, 2026, at her residence. Mrs. Mordhorst was a homemaker. Born Jan. 31, 1939, in Richwoods, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Eugenia (Doyen) Godat.
She is survived by her husband: Milo Mordhorst Sr. of Richwoods; four children: Joe (Diana) Valle of De Soto, Tony Valle of Richwoods, Eddie (Maggie) Valle of Pevely and Chris (Jerry) McKalip of De Soto; three stepchildren: Milo (Renee) Mordhorst Jr., Nathan Mordhorst and Matt (Sarah) Mordhorst and their families; nine grandchildren: Corie Valle, Matt Valle, Corey Joe Pinson, Adam Valle, Bryce (Kortney) Valle, Carter Turner, Maddy (Colton Branson) Valle, Nikki Jo (Adam) Hegemann and Chad (Heather) McKalip; 14 great-grandchildren: Brody Valle, Brandon Valle, Memphis McKalip, Avery Hegemann, Jevin Hegemann, Aubree Branson, Maverick Branson, Jackson Valle, Lucy Valle, Corey Pinson Jr., Gavin (Sydney) Pinson, Scarlet Pinson, Hudson Pinson and Hayley Stahl; a great-great-grandchild: Jett Michael “J.P” Pinson; and three siblings: Bud (Mary Ann) Godat of Richwoods, Jim (Sheri) Godat of Vienna and Jean Merseal of Richwoods.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Patty Valle; and a brother-in-law: Dick Merseal.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
