Goetz, Loy Nadine

Loy Nadine Goetz, 86, of Barnhart died April 21, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Goetz retired from Shop N’ Save in Arnold. Her favorite pastimes were being with family and friends, cooking, reading and watching old Western films. She is remembered as a kind woman who was generous to charities and made sure her loved ones never left her home hungry. Born Oct. 31, 1938, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Alice (Miner) and Albert Poole.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Goetz.

She is survived by three sons: Rickey (Pamela) Langley, Al “Elmer” (good friend Becky Budds) Langley and William J. Langley; a stepdaughter: Cheryl (Ernie) Langley; a sister-in-law: Mickey Sue (Bob) Stockdale; a brother-in-law: Mitchel Shrum; five grandchildren: Tiffany (Stephanie) Freeman, Danielle (Delaney) Langley, Lauren (Kegan) Salmon, Kim Smith and Jamie (Breanne) Oakley; and 11 great-grandchildren: Cameron, Logan, Miles, Jaxson, Maycee, August, Asa, Annisyn, Isacc, Morgan and Carson.

She also was preceded in death by her parents-in-law: Mildred and Elmer Shrum; a brother: Allen H. Poole; two sons: Dale Langley and Donald Langley Jr.; and a grandson: Zachary Langley.

The family would like to thank Christian and Mackenzie from Mercy Hospice.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. today, April 28, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by Pastor Bobby Parish. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
