
Lindell Paul Harper, 76, of Bonne Terre died June 26, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Harper was superintendent of the Leaching & Purification Dept. at Big River Zinc. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He also was a member of the Potosi Lions Club. Born Aug. 25, 1947, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Lorene Pearl (Wilkson) and Otis Willis Harper.
He is survived by his wife: Janice Evelyn (Nickelson) Harper of Bonne Terre; three children: Jill (Steve) Holloway of Festus, Jason (Michelle) Harper of Bonne Terre and Jarad (Kelly) Harper of Conway, Ark.; two siblings: Robert Harper of Greers Ferry, Ark., and Donna Nickelson of Festus; two sisters-in-law: Mick Harper of Greers Ferry, Ark., and Ruth Harper of St. Louis; a brother-in-law: Dale Shelly of De Soto; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Shelby Shelly, Bill Harper, Richard Harper and Dixie Lee Harper.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Road, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Randy Gray. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
