Linda Jone White, 80, of Arnold died July 6, 2025. Born Oct. 20, 1944, in Portageville, Mrs. White was the daughter of the late George and Rease (Humphries) Ruby.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years: Clyde "Rich" White.
She is survived by two children: Tracy (nee White) Deters and Todd E. Tipton; a niece and nephew, whom she helped raise: Charlyn O'Brien-Keanen and Mark (Susie) O'Brien; grandchildren: Haley and Kristin Tipton and Brittany Ash; siblings: Margie (and the late William) Adcock, Jeanie (Don) Foster, Sharon Ruby Thompson and Virginia "Faye" Holley; nieces and nephews: Kelly Ruby, Karen Stewart, Ronnie, Bill and Russy Adcock, Sheila and Lisa Ruby, Paula Strobaugh, Chris (Kim) Foster and Donnie (Tish) Foster; great-nieces and nephews: Michael (Kim) Keane, Kaitlyn Keane (Tony) Newton, Danielle Conn (Brian) Berg and Dustin Conn; and many other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death bya nephew, whom she helped raise:Kelty O'Brien; and five siblings: Dorothy "Dot" O'Brien, George "Bud" Ruby, Clindon "Toby" (Carol) Ruby and Wayne (Brenda) Ruby.
Per Mrs. White’s request, there will be no service or celebration of life ceremony. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to St. Louis BackStoppers. Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold.
