Culley, Lewis

Lewis A. Culley Jr., 85, of Dittmer died March 8, 2024. Lewis was a retired member of the Teamsters Local 682. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music while driving his truck. He loved a good barbecue and a cold bottle of Budweiser. He was a true “foodie,” who loved any food but carrots. He enjoyed cooking, and one of his favorite weeknights was visiting restaurants with his family. His passion for music was shared with his family, especially watching his sons sing and play music together. He could be found at Joe Clark's in Fenton after a hard day’s work. He found joy in spending time with his family and friends. Born Feb. 16, 1939, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Margaret (Mueller) and Lewis Culley Sr.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Culley.

He is survived by three children: Caralynn (Mike) Ronchetto, Keith (Pam) Culley and Tonya Belfield; a daughter-in-law: Christine Culley; two siblings: Donna (Bill) James and Conrad (Debbie) Culley; 11 grandchildren: Crystal, Michael, Matthew, Caitlyn, Keith Jr., Amanda, Shayne, Tyler, Jase, Sabrina and Mindy; 10 great-grandchildren: Kenzi, Westin, Raelynn, Willow, Elainah, Mason, Bailey, Parker, Jackson and Conner; and numerous family members and friends.

He also was preceded in death by a son: Lewis Culley; a granddaughter: Caitlyn (Matt Uzzetta) Ronchetto; a great-granddaughter: Florense Mae Uzzetta; and three siblings: Phyllis (Leroy) Martin, Ronda (Tom) Flamion and Ronald Culley.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Graveside service will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
