Bourgeois, Leon

Leon J. Bourgeois, 69, of Dittmer died April 9, 2024, in Cedar Hill. Mr. Bourgeois was a skilled carpenter. He served as both a drummer and a soulful singer in various bands. He enjoyed traveling open roads on his Harley and spending time with family. Born April 4, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Francis (Joines) and Lou Bourgeois.

He is survived by his wife: Annette (Tripp) Bourgeois; two children: Natalie (Brian) Kuemmel and Stephen (Lisa) Bourgeois; four grandchildren: Nathan Kuemmel, Ellie Bourgeois, Noah Bourgeois, and Cody Bourgeois; nine great-grandchildren: Bob (Sandy) Bourgeois, Bonnie (Tony) DiMercurio, John (Lynn) Bourgeois, Gary (Kathy) Bourgeois, Louie (Trish) Bourgeois, Angie (Dave) Feegle, David (Laurie) Bourgeois, Michael (Christa) Bourgeois and Marti (Dave) Good; and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Elks Lodge, Club Room 2808 Old Hunning Road, in High Ridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
