Leanne Marie Doza, 75, of Festus died Dec. 11, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Doza was a retired IT analyst and programmer for Vantage Credit Union in Bridgeton. She was proud to have obtained her associate degree in computer information systems. She attended Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, volunteering to cook for the parish events, funeral dinners and other events. She also was a volunteer at the thrift store. She loved taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the hummingbirds and stoking the wood stove. Family was her biggest priority and joy. After the early passing of her parents, she took on the role of caring for her six brothers. Later, she had one son, Chad, and took pride in sharing frequent updates about him with her friends and family. At their cabin in northern Missouri, she enjoyed hunting and fishing and was the designated "camp cook”. She was competitive with getting the biggest deer and she scored the biggest buck several different times. She frequently reminded her husband and brothers that she harvested the biggest turkey ever on that property. When she occasionally took a break from the kitchen, she would seek a shrimp dinner at her favorite seafood eateries. Born Oct. 29, 1948, in Zell, she was the daughter of the late Edna (Grass) and Arthur Herman.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Oscar Doza Jr.; a son: Chad Michael Doza of Kansas City; four brothers: Wayne Herman of Hillsboro, Leon (Eileen) Herman of Zell, Ronald (Angela) Herman of Perryville and Eugene (Cheyle) Herman of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert (Barb Friedman survives of Ste. Genevieve) Herman and Richard (Gwen survives of Ste. Genevieve) Herman.
