Lawrence J. Hicks, 48, of Festus died Jan. 1, 2025. Mr. Hicks worked for L.O.D.C. Concrete Contracting. Born June 7, 1976, in Farmington, he was the son of Alpha (Edward) Graham of De Soto and the late James E. Hicks.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children: Desteny Massa of Pevely and Christian J. Hicks of Festus; eight siblings: Gary Floyd, Jake Hicks, Chris McIllwain, Cassandra Hicks, Megan Hicks, Lisa Johnson, Rachel Fischer and Anna Hearst; and three grandchildren: Aiden Hicks, Oakley Hicks and Von Cook.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Bro. Bob Thebeau. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
