Lawrence Eugene “Gene” Hudson, 65, of Arnold died Oct. 9, 2024. Mr. Hudson was a retired laborer. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1977 to 1981. He was known as a funny man and detailed storyteller. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Born Aug. 1, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, he was the son of the late Lavern Payne and Lawrence Burton Hudson.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Andrea “Andy” (Brown) Hudson; three children: Brian Adam Hudson, Andrew Lawrence Hudson and Matthew David Hudson; and five siblings: Vicki (Ken) Morioni of Kansas City, Randy (Betsy Boncek) Hudson of Barnhart, Mark Hudson of Hillsboro, Kevin Hudson of Hillsboro and Kim Payne (Charlie) Bieser of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by a sibling: Tammy (Hudson) Lanz.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at VFW Post 2184, 6327 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis.
